It’s a meee

An interesting week for gaming consoles, as the much anticipated Super Mario Sunshine and the PS2 Online Service (with SOCOM and TM:B Online!) are released. Mario is getting some expected good reviews, but the general concensus is that it’s not as ground-breaking nor as great as it could have been. Maybe the expectations were too grand, as Mario has some massive shoes to fill, but if it’s at the least an enjoyable game, then that’s more than enough to hold…

Supercade

I purchased Supercade: A Visual History of the Video Game Age last week through Amazon.ca, and figured I’d put up a short mini-review. Supercade is, as the title suggests, very visual. You won’t find deep, indepth accounts of gaming in that era. Lo-fi gif action

I took my camera in for repairs yesterday. It was a small speck that kept showing up on my pictures that did it for me. Good thing that I had a warranty, as I generally avoid getting one — but when I do, I better make damned sure that I make the most of it. In the abscence of my beloved Fuji, I’m forced to resort…

Video theme

Sticking with the music video theme, there is this video (Royksopp – ‘Remind Me’) — which has an incredibly slick vector/3d infographic look to it. It reminds me of the Plaid: ‘Itsu’ video by Pleix, albeit in a more forceful, less infographic focused kind of way. Stop Calling Games “Addictive”!.
